AGM Recap: Fresh Leadership for Monaghan Town Team

On Thursday, 20th November, the Monaghan Town Team gathered at the Market House for its Annual General Meeting (AGM). The evening was an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past year, celebrate the dedication of outgoing co-chairs, and elect new leadership to guide the team into 2026.

Celebrating Success

Outgoing Co-Chair April Anna Dinkin opened the meeting with a heartfelt report, highlighting key milestones such as the success of the Monaghan Town Voucher scheme and the team’s pivotal role in shaping the Town Centre First Plan. These initiatives have strengthened local business, boosted community engagement, and ensured Monaghan remains a vibrant and welcoming town.

New Leadership Elected

The AGM marked an important transition as members elected a new Chair and Vice Chair:

  • Chairperson: Eileen Collery was nominated and unanimously elected. Eileen expressed her excitement about taking on the role and continuing the team’s mission.

  • Vice Chairperson: After a close vote, Gordon Read was elected as Vice Chair.

Both leaders bring experience and enthusiasm, ensuring strong direction for the year ahead.

With fresh leadership and a strong, committed team, Monaghan Town Team is ready to build on its successes and deliver even more for the community.
